Virgin Voyages

The Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady Pre-Launch Event

I was one of an exclusive group of agents that had the opportunity that attended the New York City pre-launch of the Scarlet Lady, Virgin Voyages 1st all adults cruise ship set to sail in 2020.  Richard Branson thought of everything when he created this concept of a cruise line, as it will be like no other in the industry.  After attending the event I will have to say, you must step on the ship with an open mind as he will have surprises around every turn, from pop up entertainment, musical performances, and out of the box creative acts!  The cabins layouts are spectacular, the ports of call are some of the best and off the beaten path destinations, and the layout of the ship is going to offer something for everyone.

I will post more as information as it is released, but we are really excited that one of the main ports of call that the beautiful Scarlet Lady will be sailing to is Cuba!

Eden Roc in Miami

The hotel is in a great location as it sits very close to South Beach.
Property ~ when I first walked into the hotel I was impressed by the openness of the lobby area…directly in front of you when you enter the hotel is the Lobby Bar. There was tons of comfortable places to sit and have a drink, or like me I set up my computer one evening and got lots of work done.
Rooms ~ AMAZING!!!! This was the most impressive part if you want my honest opinion. I stayed in the King Ocean view room, and it was super spacious. The King beds sits in the middle of the room so when you open the blinds you have views on the ocean. It has a nice size desk if you need to get some work done and a nice chase lounge for evening cocktails. The bathrooms are great too. Couple of things they could invest in is storage for toiletries in the main bathroom area and some sort of door for the shower area. The shower and tub are in the same room which is quite unique, but I found myself chilly while taking my shower as there was no way for the steam to build up and keep it a comfortable temperature. There was a fridge in the room that you can put a few things in, and also a safe for your valuables!
Pools ~ I was able to give each one a try and have to say that I loved all of them equally. At every pool you have pool service where you can get towels, drinks, and food! Also, everyday there is a happy hour at the poolside restaurant where you can get a few discounts on select items! Jeffery was the main guy at the time we were there and took amazing care of us along with Angel as his assistant!
Food ~ had the opportunity to eat at the Nobu restaurant the first night and I just have to say that this was incredible. We ordered several things and all were very unique. Just be careful because it is very expensive. I also ate at the pool side restaurant and had pizza which was delicious! Room service was ordered on several occasions as I was there working so there were times that all I wanted to do was go back to the room and chill so I took advantage of that service. Make sure you know that on every purchase at the hotel there is automatically a 20% service charge. This was a little frustrating but it's Miami, so I was expecting this.
Beach ~ appealing from the looks of it from my balcony, but didn't get the chance to experience it. Maybe next time
Spa ~ tranquility!!! The smell is delightful. I wanted to package it up and bring it home with me. I purchased an hour massage. I was greeted by Emmanuella and taken to my locker, here I was informed to change and to meet her in the hall. She took me to the relaxation room which overlooks the pool and ocean. Here they have tea, water, and snacks. The rooms was very peaceful and set the mood for my upcoming massage. April was my massage therapist, and I just want to say if you visit the property ask for her, she was incredible!! Probably one of the best massages I have ever had! In the spa there is also hydrotherapy with hot tubs, cold plunge, a sauna, and a steam room! The spa is a must!!!

HARD ROCK RIVIERA MAYA

This property is big but never felt to big! The hotel is set up in two parts. One is the Heaven Section (which is the adults only side) and the Family Section. I stayed on the family side but spent most of my time on the adults side.
Food: Was really really good for an all inclusive! Of course I love the Hard Rock chain so to hear anything bad come out of my mouth is gonna be difficult!
Beach: This is the tricky part at this hotel and where pictures online can throw you off. The beach here is a protected beach! I have several families that loved this property, and have been several times because of this. The water is beautifully clear and very still! Also the snorkeling right off the beach is GREAT!
Rooms: I had the pleasure of having a sky terrace, talk about a treat!!! I was so surprised when I walked in and saw this! I did spend alot of morning up there and evenings in the hot tub!!
Hotel Grounds: Beautiful, well landscaped!
Night life: Several bars that were fun to have a few beverages, but the best part was the NIGHT CLUB!!!  YES, this was OFF THE HOOK! Its a club with a pool in the middle! WHAT?!?! Yes you heard me correctly a pool in the middle of the club! Attached are a few pictures!! The drinks were flowing and we had a great time!! Thank god we found our way back to our room that night!
